Lex didn't know what he had stumbled upon. It was just one of those nights, again, that he couldn't sleep. The nightmares had gotten worse, and as badly as he wanted to sleep he just couldn't handle another one right now. So out he went, deciding a nice long walk and some fresh air could do him some good. Originally he had planned to just walk around the canals of Garland City, but before he knew it he was outside city limits and following some rocky path. He didn't care really, he was just glad his mind was elsewhere rather than the images he had seen trying to sleep.

It was dark and chilly, but with his typical leather pants and jacket on he was quite comfortable. The sky was clear and the stars and moon were shining brightly. He walked along the base of the mountains nearby, and even poked his head inside a cave or two but didn't enter. He wasn't necessarily afraid of getting lost, but he hadn't been out here before and who knows what kind of pokémon slept in these caves. His personal pokémon team still needed some training, so he wasn't about to wander into any dark caves just yet. However, he was confident they could protect him should anything decide to jump out at him...

The Aron woke up from its light sleep, it looked up at the open sky and found it to be dark already. Having just woke up it had no intention to move about just yet. He was laying on top of an incline beside the road, its white shell armor did not help to camouflaged it against the potential predators, but it was not bothered by the thought either. People and pokemon rarely visited this part of the road, and the various stronger wild pokemon will take care any random trainer anyway, so it was unbothered by its surroundings.

It did felt a little bit hungry though, living in the victory road had its ups and downs, the down part would be finding food. There weren't that many grass or berries nearby, he might have to travel for a bit before finding anything. He closed his eyes for a moment, he would like to rest for a little bit longer. He would venture out later on and found something to eat.

He practically tripped over the silver rock-looking pokémon that was laying in the middle of the road. It caught him off guard and he almost fell to the ground but caught himself on the cliff side next to him. "What the-" he let out, accidentally. After he steadied himself and took a closer look, he realized it was actually a pokémon he had tripped over and not a rock. The silver little thing had bright blue eyes. "Huh." he said, and shrugged. It was young and little, but so were all of the other pokémon in his team currently. Interested, he tugged at one of the pokéballs on his belt and tossed it into the air.

There was a flash, and a black kitten-like pokémon with red stripes fell from the air and onto the ground on all fours. D'Argo was already purring, happy to be his first choice once again for whatever it was he had come across. The Litten surveyed the area and the wild pokémon in front of them. It looks like it was made of metal, which was an advantage for him being a fire-type. Eager to get things moving, he dug his nails into the dry dirt and readied for an order. His tail twitched eagerly as he waited.

Lex stood still momentarily, curious as to how the wild pokémon would react to their movements. Choosing carefully, he picked a move that wasn't too powerful but would be pretty effective. He didn't want to knock the thing out, for once. He was actually rather curious about it and wanted to catch it if he could. "Ember." he ordered, knowing the fire would easily burn the pokémon's metal exterior but not be too powerful. D'Argo didn't hesitate to obey, and built up a ball of fire in the back of his throat. Proceeding quickly, he opened his mouth and spit the fire out towards his new opponent.

D'Argo used Ember!

Aron's eyes opened wide in surprise as he was jagged awake when something tripped over him. Being a steel type pokemon and with his heavy body build, he was unbothered by the sudden weight that was briefly on top of him, but still, he did not like when his personal space was invaded by any Pokemon or anyone.

What the hell...??!!

It got up from its laying down position and turned to face the intruder, a human...Aron narrowed his eyes at that....how did he manage to get into this place...? The other pokemon must have been slacking off lately, this is not going to be another poacher, is it...? Aron watched the human carefully from its position, eyes cold and cautious, trying to get a good judge at the strength of this new human. Unfortunately, unlike pokemon, a human's strength can't be measured by appearance or "aura" as the weirdo lucario likes to call them, the human can maintain control over multiple strong pokemon, making them difficult opponents to deal with.

Just as Aron was thinking about human's control over pokemon, the human spend out a fire type cat, he can't remember the exact name of the species, something like Litten?? But it did not matter, Aron recognized it to be a pokemon holding typing advantage over it, and as soon as the cat pokemon was out of the ball, he was already charging towards the pokemon and the human pre-emptively.

As Aron got close to the cat pokemon, it made a quick circling move around the pokemon and missing the ember attack by inches, and fired Rock Tomb right back at the cat pokemon in retaliation.

This battle was already off to a fiery start, and Lex was excited that D'Argo might actually have to work at this one. The little metal creature dodged his ember attack with ease despite his heavy weight. D'Argo was not impressed, he was quite offended by his opponent's ability to dodge his attack so easily. As he darted past, he bared his teeth and growled. Before he could turn around though, the Aron had already executed his return attack.

Using his energy, the wild pokémon managed to pull rocks from the mountain side down on top of D'Argo. He grit his teeth as the rocks slammed down on his shoulders and back, causing him to crumble to the ground. He did not scream or yell in pain, instead holding in the urge. Lex would think he's weak if he showed any signs of feeling pain. Worried about disappointing his master, D'Argo forced his way back to his feet and out of the rubble. He was happy to see a smirk on his master's face as he did so.

Lex didn't miss a beat and ordered another attack. "Flame Charge." he said in a low, demanding voice. D'Argo grinned, showing his sharp white teeth. This was one of his favorite moves. He lowered his body to the ground and focused hard on the fire energy inside him. It took just a few seconds to built up, but once it did, his body lit up in flames. Digging his nails into the dirt, he shot forward at full speed, charging directly at his enemy. The flames were burning so hot even the wind from his running barely phased them.

Speed -1

Aron saw the attack landed on the Litten, and knew that when hit by the attack, the target will usually suffer some kind of debuff with speed, so he did not pay the little cat pokemon any more attention as he turned to face the human trainer. This Aron was not the kind to play by the rules, if he took out this Litten, it would not have changed the tide to this battle, more likely than not the trainer will just send out more pokemon, it was a lose lose situation for him. Narrowing his eyes, Aron thought to himself, that the only way out of this situation was to either escape or take out the human.

Now that he already got past Litten, and the with the Litten behind him and slowed down by the previous attack, he prepared to charge in and Tackle the human trainer. However, he was not expecting the Litten to recover so fast, just as Aron was starting to charge in towards the human, he was hit by some kind of flame charge. As a steel type, the attack did a lot of damage against him and he bit down on his teeth and silently cursed himself. I underestimated the enemy...I need to deal with him first...

Never the flashy or showy type, this stubborn Aron turned to look at the Litten and snarled at it. You will regret this, I will just beat you down again you know...

Aron uses Rock Tomb against Litten (again...)

D'Argo celebrated internally when his second attack landed successfully. Slamming into the metal pokémon hurt his head a little bit but the flames coating his body helped shield him. Despite the force he put behind his charge, the steel-type opponent wasn't backing down. It turned around quickly and rumbled the ground again, causing more rocks to fall from the mountain side. D'Argo was a little more prepared this time however, and did his best to hop to the side back and forth in an attempt to dodge the falling rocks. A few of them barely missed him by a hair, but his attempt was successful.

Lex narrowed his eyes at the two, calculating his next move. He was very curious about this little machine and decided he did want to catch it. It already showed potential by how it leaped into battle and was able to dodge D'Argo's attack despite his weight. While Lex planned out his next turn, he reached into his back pocket for an empty pokéball, holding it tightly between his first two fingers. "Fury Swipes. And D'Argo, don't finish him off please." Lex ordered. He smirked as D'Argo gave an obedient nod. The black kitten leaped forward in the air and bared its teeth and claws. He let out a roar and came down at the Aron with his claws.

Aron clutched his teeth as his attack missed, or rather, the little cat skillfully dodged his attacks, and he mentally prepared himself for the counterstrike that was bound to happen. But what he did not expect was for the fury swipes to land all five times!! Under usual circumstances, he would be agile enough so such combo attack move could only hit him around three times, but the little cat was luck this time and that one move brought Aron's health down to the red. What was worst was that he managed to catch the fire as well, with each passing minutes the fire will chip down his health just a little, if he did not want to faint he would have to leave, now! Aron struggled to put in some distance between himself and the little cat, he had clearly underestimated the little thing and was now reconsidering his approach.

Aron was a proud pokemon, but he can recognize a grim situation such as this, the little cat still had a fair amount of health remaining and it was unlikely that under this circumstances, he would be able to fight the cat or the trainer. He was in red after all, and it wouldn't take much to finish him off, just one dodge too slow and it would be game over for him. Aron backed away from the cat and prepared himself to flee the scene.

Lex was a proud parent. His Litten's fury swipes had not only hit successfully but over and over again. A smirk spread even wider across his face and when it was all said and done, he gave D'Argo a nod of approval. "Good." was all he said, but to D'Argo it was everything. Even the tiniest of compliments from his trainer was a huge deal, for he had to work very hard to get just that. D'Argo's tail twitched happily and he backed away from his opponent, clearing space for his trainer.

Lex twiddled the pokéball between his fingers once more before lifting his hand into the air. In a quick motion, he stepped forward and tossed the pokéball at the wild pokémon. The red and white ball spun into the air and landed with a soft thud on the top of the pokémon's head. There was a flash as the pokémon was engulfed and the ball landed on the ground. Lex and D'Argo watched anxiously to see what happened. Lex was confident that D'Argo had done a great job weakening the pokémon, but he still didn't have much experience with catching pokémon in the wild. He bit down on his lower lip and waited.

The pokeball fly through the air gracefully and landed on top of Aron's head with a soft click and the pokemon went inside the pokeball just like that. When the pokeball hit the ground and rolled around a bit, it shook left and right, and flashes of bright red color could be seen. It was clear that an intense struggle was happening inside the pokeball, as the pokemon trapped inside tried its hardest to break free of the confined. However, in the end, the pokemon was too weak to put in enough resistant or to break free, and the flashes of bright light eventually settled down with a soft click sound. Then, everything was quiet as the dusts settled down once again in the victory road.

Aron has been captured!!!! Congratulations!!!
