The journey on the ferry hadn't been too long luckily, if it was much longer than it was Tristan got the feeling he'd end up feeling quite sea sick. However currently the only feeling he had was excitement. Excitement to start his new journey, away from his old life, and to meet all the new Pokémon he'd encounter during his travels. No doubt there'd be many trainers in his adventure too, maybe not even trainers but breeders and rangers too! He had spent many nights staying up way too late, researching all the different Pokémon he'd could encounter. All the different events that go down in the Eden region. It was completely different to Johto and he loved it. There was an Elite 4 in Eden but Tristan wasn't too sure if he'd eventually dedicate himself to going towards it. Gym badges were enough for him...Besides he wanted to grow as a person at the same time as his Pokémon. Champions got too much attention.

By now he could see the land, it was so close. He was eager to disembark and his eyes stayed locked upon the harbour that they were sailing towards. A smile was stuck on his face and the cool breeze blew his hair back. He decided this was something he needed Hades out to experience too, especially taking his first steps into the new region. Hades was his partner after all, he was starting this journey with him too so Tristan pulled the pokeball out his inside jacket pocket and pressed the button, triggering Hades to pop out. "Nearly here, Hades." He said with a grin, looking from the Houndour to the island. Hades stood beside him, watching and observing the upcoming island. Tristan didn't want Hades out the entire time they were travelling, he was a fire Pokémon and they'd be surrounded by water. For some reason he didn't see it going well.

Then finally the ferry docked and the doors opened to disembark. Tristan crouched down on the deck and placed his hand on Hades' back. "We're here. Let's go start our new life." He said, rubbing the back of Hades a little which was followed by a determined bark and nod from Hades. After walking through the ship with Hades beside him for a couple minutes, Tristan reached the exit and took his first steps into the Eden region, Hades jumping off too. Hades was observing the surroundings and Tristan took the glance around too before burying his hands into his jacket pockets and beginning to walk further into the harbour. It was interesting. Compeltely new surroundings and different from his home city. The people seemed nice and the different Pokémon people had out with them was interesting to see. This'd definitely be a learning experience no matter what.

"Yes, I will see when I have time to visit again. When you see Josie, give her my regards. Take care now!" And with that, Harold Hobbs exited the hallway of a seaside apartment complex. The rent must have been terribly expensive, yet the view of the sea was rather stunning from Hector's apartment on the fourth floor. The old man stood on the empty sidewalk for a moment when he decided what to do with the rest of his day. His visit to Potpourri Harbour had gone rather splendid, if he was honest with himself. He got to see Hector again and this was a new experience for Dalbert and Chino as well. Speaking of which... "Lizzie, have you seen the two rascals around?" The nearby Chansey who exited the building with the old man seemed to think for a short moment before she shook her head. Well, she rather shook her whole upper-body thanks to her egg-like appearance yet the gesture was clear. Still, Lizzie was now looking around the otherwise empty street to find her fellow companions. His other two Pokemon didn't wanted to stay stuck in an apartment on such a beautiful day like this, that was understandable. They must have wandered off somewhere, most likely where there are other people or Pokemon. The harbour was the obvious choice. The old man walked over towards his worried friend and placed his hand on the Chansey as he smiled towards her. "They must have gone to see some more sights. They enjoyed the harbour yesterday, so they are most likely there. Come, we shall go and find them." Lizzie give a reassuring nod while speaking her approval about the plan. "Chansey."

At the harbour there was indeed a Ducklett and Minnchino looking out over the crowd of people from on top of a small building on the pier. The Ducklett was pecking at some bread at his feet that he most likely obtained from an unfortunate passerby down below. The Minnchino was lazily sweeping the floor around her as she eyed all the people who came off the boat with her rather large grey eyes. Suddenly she alerted her companion with a small squeal before she dexterously made her way towards one of the humans she spotted. The Ducklett seemed annoyed at first yet with the rest of his bread still in his beak he glided after the other Pokemon, towards the ground.

Harold's first guess seemed to be spot on as he hadn't even set foot in the harbour proper before he felt familiar paws climbing on top of him from behind. Minnchino had quietly snuck up on him when he wasn't looking and was now steadily cleaning the old man's clothing with her tail. The small Pokemon scurried from shoe to waistcoat to ensure Harold's cleanliness. It took about a minute of attentive care and brushing before the old man was deemed presentable again, and the sight was rather endearing. "Yes, yes! It is good to see you to Princess. Always making sure that I am presentable." The old man gave an honest smile when the Pokemon was finished, taking her seat on the old man's shoulder when finished. The Ducklett that followed had finished his bread at Harold's feet now, and was looking around at the people around him with a serious gaze, perhaps to find more. Lizzie just stood next to Harold as she waved at the people nearby, seeming to find the attention that Harold got from the Minnchino pleasant. Some of them stayed to watch the scene and with them were some Pokemon as well.

From what he gathered, this harbour had a few of its own little businesses going on. A few stands were up around in between the buildings that were quite clearly people's homes. The views that those apartments must have would be insane. Especially during sunset, the Pokémon flying out over the sea in the light of the orange sky would be beautiful. A sight Tristan would like to experience once, even if it's from a different place. This adventure was meant to be one to change his life, give him new memories and moments of pure bliss like that.

As he walked a bit further into the harbour, Tristan spotted a Pokémon eating a piece of bread. He glanced down to Hades who had already spotted the bird and was keeping an eye on it before his eyes landed back on the Pokémon. He wondered if it was a wild Pokémon or if it had a trainer somewhere and his question was soon answered when he got closer. A couple feet from the Pokémon, Tristan spotted an elderly man standing outside a building with a Chansey and a Minnchino. Tristan took his backpack off and unzipped it, reaching in and bringing out a small piece of bread from the sandwich he had eaten during his ferry trip over. "Hades, guard my bag please." He said with a smile, placing the bag in front of Hades. "Hound." Hades replied, standing firm and tall to try and deter anyone from trying to take the bag.

Now with the bread in his hand, Tristan took a glance to the trainer to his right and then back to the Ducklett. "Need more bread?... Here. Take mine, I don't need it." Tristan said in a soft voice, extending his arm out and eventually crouching down onto one knee after a few slow steps. He didn't want to scare off the Pokémon, he was only trying to do a good deed. The old man didn't look like the type of person who'd freak out about a younger trainer offering their Pokémon a snack, but he could be wrong still. "If that's okay with your trainer, at least." Tristan then added on, diverting his gaze to the elderly man with a small smile on his face. He was a trainer that cared about all Pokémon, he wouldn't mind if someone offered Hades a nice snack.

Dalbert heard the magic word, and on top of the magic word he was shown bread right for the taking. Before even Harold took note of the situation, the Shiny Ducklett basically flew at Tristan's hand, its beak making sure that he would get his wheaty delight. Perhaps Dalbert would have been a bit too rough and made a small cut or maybe Tristan managed to avoid the fury of the beak. It wouldn't be anything major even if the worse came to pass, yet it is a clear show that this Pokemon was getting that piece of bread the moment he laid its eyes on it. Regardless, the movement was quicker than one would expect from the duck sized menace, just like its furiosity. When the Ducklett had acquired the piece of bread, he made quick work of it and gobbled it up in a moment. When he was done, he was looking with big, yet strangely enough menacing, eyes towards Tristan while commanding more with a flap of his wings and a cry. "Ducklett!" Well, as menacing as a Ducklett could appear. Still, at this moment Harold took notice of the commotion his Pokemon had caused and he rushed over towards the pair with the Minnchino on his shoulder and his Chansey in tow.

"That is no way to act to a stranger, Dalbert! Apologize!" The old man would sound rather stern and clear at the moment, yet it seemed a bit forced as if he was not used to raising his voice as such. Still, it seemed to have the appropriate effect as soon the Ducklett, all though a bit begrudgingly, lowered his little head in shame. "Ducklett...Duck..." The old man soon followed afterwards as he lowered his own head towards Tristan, seeming to be genuinely sorry about what just happened. His voice would be soft and gentle and a bit out of breath from the whole commotion. "My deepest apologizes, young man. Dalbert has a history with bread. Are you hurt?" Harold was almost a head shorter than Tristan when he stood before him, and with his soft spoken voice and clothing he would appear rather unimpressive as a trainer and remind one more of a grandfather or librarian.

Lizzie the Chansey looks with concern at Tristan when she approached, before huffing in the direction towards Dalbert. Princess Chino would look at the scene, yet she seemed to be less concerned as her tail was lazily cleaning at some nonexistent dirt on Harold's sleeve that only she could see.

Tristan kept his eyes on Ducklett as it seemed to eye up the bread and the situation that was unfolding. In the blink of an eye, Ducklett had taken the bread out of Tristan's grip and even pinched a bit of Tristan's figertips. He pulled his hand back quickly, letting go of the bread fully and then glancing to his hand. "Ouch." He mumbled to himself, observing his fingers to make sure there was no cuts or blood, which there wasn't. It was lucky that he didn't have a smaller bit of bread otherwise he got the feeling the ducklett would have bitten off more finger than bread. That wouldn't have been a good way to start his journey in Eden. Trips to the emergency rooms wasn't on his agenda, not for any part of Tristan's journey.

A small snarl came from behind him and Tristan glanced over at Hades, giving him a smile to reassure him that he was okay before giving lifting his head upwards to signal Hades to come up next to him and bring the bag. Hades clamped his jaws around the bag strap and dragged it over to Tristan, who then proceeded to take it from his little companion and put it over his shoulder. "Thank you, Hades." He said, patting the houndour's head. "Dourr..." Hades mumbled back as a thank you for the pat.

Between the time that the bite had happened and Tristan beckoned Hades over, the elderly trainer had appeared next to the Ducklet. The man scolded the Ducklett as if he was a kid who'd just done something he knew he shouldn't have done. Tristan figured this wasn't the first time the Ducklett had done something like this. He grinned over at the Ducklett as it lowered its head and gave it a nod, "It's okay. No harm done." Tristan replied, getting up off of his knee and standing up straight. "No I'm fine, luckily was just a pinch. The Ducklett is a bit too eager it seems..." Tristan then continued on to say back to the elderly trainer, giving him a small nod as he buried his hands back into his jacket pockets. He couldn't help but smirk to himself at the chansey that had plodded over and then told off the ducklet too, it was amusing. "However I must say, that history with bread does seem interesting." Tristan said, his eyes landing back upon the Ducklett.

Harold gave a hearty laugh when he heard Tristan speak about Dalbert's possible history with bread, yet the sudden wave of laughter might also have been partly because the young man was unharmed. He seemed to have come just off the boat and having your finger bitten was no way for a trainer to spend one's first day! "And it is a story that you have well deserved to hear if you so desire! Still, please let me buy you a drink for your trouble." The old man explained as he pointed behind his back. "There is a trainer's cafe not far from here and I believe that you would fit right in there if I believe so myself!" This impromptu offer seemed to be approved by the Chansey, who shook her head as best as she could while approaching Tristan. "Chansey, Chansey!" The egg shaped carrier of eggs seemed to find it a splendid idea, if her tone was to be believed.

Meanwhile outside of Harold's field of attention, Dalbert waddled over towards the nearby Houndour. He stayed at a short distance yet he seemed to be sizing up the fire-Pokemon, his keen eyes fixed on the other Pokemon. He spoke his taunt softly yet clear enough for Hades to hear "Ducklett, duck!", which meant something like 'Think you are tough huh? I can take you!' The territorial Pokemon waddled away after giving his challenge, going to stand next to Harold who did not seem to have heard his Pokemon nor noticed the behaviour.

Tristan Hawx (A trainer Cafe would be one of the most logical places where others can join up if they want to, seeing as this is an open post after all. Still, it is all up to Tristan.)

Getting a drink from a stranger isn't exactly something Tristan would normally accept, especially not from one who's old enough to be his grandfather. However the fellow seemed like a nice one so he decided the offer was genuine and sincere, after all his Pokémon had just bitten his finger. "The story does sound interesting, the drink would be nice but not necessary. Thank you." He said, placing his hand over his chest in a diagonal way, bowing his head too. He glanced around at his surroundings before back to the elderly man as he suggested the trainer cafe. "A trainer cafe?..." Tristan glanced down to Hades before nodding to the old man. "Sure...My name's Tristan by the way. Tristan Hawx and this is my partner, Hades." He said pointing to himself and then to his little Houndour friend, who held himself tall at the mention of his name. "Houndour!" Hades said, as if it was some form of greeting.

As the Ducklett approached Hades, Hades perked what would be his eyebrow up and watched him. His eyes stayed locked upon the Ducklett as if he was his prey. Then as the Ducklett spoke to him a snarl rumbled in his throat, lips curling as he bared his fangs. "Dourr..." Hades snarled quietly, Tristan glancing down as he heard the rumbling beside him. An eyebrow rose on Tristan's face and he glanced to the Ducklett. "Looks like someone likes causing trouble..."

When Tristan turned his attention towards Dalbert, Harold followed suit. "Perhaps you have been a bit too free for your own feathers, Dalbert. Calm down a bit." The old man moved his hand into his jacket and soon he took out a Poké ball. In fact, it was a Luxury Ball that sound enveloped Dalbert in a red light. The Pokemon gave a last gaze at Houndour before he was back into his ball. Harold tucked the ball away again as he spoke to Tristan with a kind smile. "Sometimes it is best if he has a little timeout when he gets too worked up. He doesn't do well with people and Pokemon he does not know, though he has been improving. The name is Harold Hobbs, pleased to make your acquaintance." The old man offered his hand to shake, and his grip would have been rather soft if Tristan would take it.

Meanwhile, Chansey would walk up to Tristan and happily speak her own name. "Chansey!" and after introducing herself to the other trainer she would take the egg that she had in her pouch and offer it to Hades. Perhaps in an offer of friendship or perhaps to make up for the poor manners of her fellow Pokemon. She would repeat the same happy. "Chansey" towards the Houndour while she stood there with the egg in her little hands. The eggs of Chansey's were known to be especially tasty and one of the causes for their overall rarity, as the eggs are a prime target for thieves wether they are Pokemon or human.

Princess Chino would still not be fully involved in this exchange, though she would now look at Tristan to see who Harold was talking to for such a time.

Tristan could agree with the elderly man when it came to the Ducklett, it seemed to be quite aggressive and seemed to push its luck quite a lot. However his attention was brought back to the elderly man as he held out his hand towards Tristan. Out of common denceny and respect, Tristan held out his hand and wrapped his fingers around it. A firm grip, something his father has always taught him to carry with him. "The pleasure is all mine." Tristan replied with a nod, letting go of the hand of the man after a couple seconds.

Hades kept his eyes on the Chansey just as keenly as when he watched the Ducklett, he didn't know how the Chansey would react to him. For all he knew it could be the same way the ducklett had done previously, but he was surprised luckily. The Chansey offered Hades an egg, to which Hades tilted his head to the side. He shot Tristan a glance, Tristan answered by a nod. Hades took the egg in his jaws and gave a pleased bark to the Chansey, muffled by the egg. "Thank you for the gift, Chansey." Tristan said with a smile, watching as Hades cracked open the egg and quickly began to finish it off. The taste was obviously good to have Hades eat it that quickly, he still kept his composure though. That was something Hades wouldn't lose easily.

Harold seemed to look rather pleased with the kind gesture of Lizzie as he placed his hand on her head in an affectionate manner. Her cheeks seemed to turn in a slightly darker pink hue at the touch, seeming to respond well to the praise she got for her good act. "There, now that is how you are supposed to treat a stranger. Come Mr. Hawx, the cafe is not far from here." Harold started to move further into the city, his pace perhaps a tad slower than that of a young adult yet it was faster than what one would expect from a man his age, nor did he seemed to have become winded from the stroll. It took indeed but a few minutes before the two trainers and their Pokemon would arrive at their destination: The Arcadiner.

From the outside the building would look like any normal restaurant was it not for their trainer and Pokemon enthusiastic appeal. The logo of the establishment seemed to be an Arcanine with a bib around his neck, licking his teeth in hunger. There was a small terrace outside leading to the entrance, with round Poké-ball tables with comfortable chairs and benches around them. A few other patrons where already enjoying their afternoon with some light food and drinks, though there were still a few empty places where the two newcomers could sit. Harold suggested just that as he spoke to Tristan. "So, do you want to sit outside and enjoy the sun, or do you want to watch a game inside?"

Tristan gave Harold a small nod as he mentioned the whereabouts of the cafe. Of course Tristan had no choice but to let Harold lead the way, this was Tristan's first day in the new region so he had no idea where anything was. The only reason he know the names of some of the towns was because he was up so much about the Eden region. He wanted to do his research. When they reached the trainer cafe, named The Arcadiner, Tristan examined the outside of it, taking in the surroundings. It seemed nice.

"Outside would be nice, allows us to enjoy the sun." Tristan replied to Harold, glancing towards a nearby table with a seat on either side. There wasn't too many outside of the cafe, most people were inside but the one's who'd be more happy with just sitting with a drink were seemingly outside. "Besides, it means we don't have to worry about people getting too into whatever was on the T.V I spotted through the window." Tristan continued on, eventually making his way to the table and taking a seat. He didn't want to have to deal with all the noise and commotion the T.V might end up bringing.
