As the Seel was recalled, Jace felt a small measure of confidence. He knew he'd have to deal with it again later but for now he no longer had to deal with the constant healing of Aqua Ring in addition to the hail. Of course, the Seel's replacement immediately shattered the little bit of confidence Jace had felt. Electric attacks would devastate his team or mostly water types. Naydra would fair pretty well but if he brought the Dratini back out Hudson would likely just swap back to the Seel or some other ice or fairy type. Boreas would probably be okay, being a pure ice type. But Jace was determined to see this through, no matter the outcome. "Alright Mimic, let's turn their strategy against them. Use Aqua Ring." It was only delaying the inevitable but any damage they could do would make things easier on whoever took Mimic's place. Mimic didn't even have to think about this one as rings of muddy water swirled around it's form.

Hudson was a little annoyed to see that Jaisen and the ditto were not only copying his pokemon but his strategy as well, but on the flip side it didn't really matter that they had set up an aqua ring. The perish song would make the ditto faint unless Jaisen switched him out next turn, which would cause the aqua ring to vanish. This would give Hudson this opportunity to do a little set up for later on. Hopefully this could allow him to turn the momentum back into his favor.

"Alright Solomon, use charge beam," Hudson ordered. The move was perfect, it gave a high chance of boosting Solomon's special attack and would deal a solid amount of damage to the 'seel', making it much weaker if Jaisen were to recall it to be used later. Solomon eagerly complied, charging up electricity in his orbs and then firing them off in a concentrated beam. The yellow bundle of electricity cackled and hissed as it zipped through the air and straight towards the ditto. The orbs on Solomon's antennae started to glow a tad brighter, signifying that the move had luckily boosted his special attack stat. Solomon cheered in excitement, but was cut off by a piece of hail smacking him on the head.

Jace had known they were in trouble the moment the Chincou had been sent onto the field but he'd held on to a slim hope that his opponent would go easy on him. It had been silly and he knew it. He grimaced as the Charge Beam hit Mimic and made the Ditto cry out. Though his new water typing made him vulnerable to electric attacks, Mimic was still able to continue the battle, much to Jace's relief. Maybe they'd have a chance to turn this around after all. He just had to see.

"Well that sucked. Okay...let's see. Use Ice Shard." Jace instructed. The Ditto slapped his flippers in the mud, sending a spray of muddy water into the air which froze and rushed toward the Chinchou as glittering shards of ice. Aqua Ring and the hail both restored a small portion of his health. Jace was just about to praise the Ditto for a job well done when Mimic's new form slumped into the mud and faded away, leaving just a pink blob behind. "Huh? Mimic? Wha- OH! Perish Song! I totally forgot." Well, that was one strategy he'd definitely have to work on before trying it again. "Sorry Mim. We'll do better next time. Take a rest, okay?" Jace said, recalling the fainted Ditto and considering his options. He'd promised Saia that she could battle but with the Seel still in reserve and an electric type on the field he wasn't going to risk it and she knew it. She gave a depressed squeak as she eyed the Wingull but didn't attempt to leave her place clinging to Jace's shirt. For now, he'd reserve his third pick until he knew for sure what he might be dealing with. "Okay Naydra, let's try this again." The Dratini returned to the field annoyed that it was still hailing but focused on his new opponent and ready to try again.

Mimic used Ice Shard!
Mimic Fainted!

Jace sends out Naydra!
