A soft breeze drifted by as Hudson walked down the well worn walking path towards Hibiscus Beach. After making it through the Hawthorne Woods and briefly stopping at Primrose Town, Hudson quickly continued towards his destination. He was very eager to make it to Hibiscus Beach, known for its wide variety of Pokemon, but he figured it would be more fun to walk there than simply take a bus. It was more about how he got there rather than when. The Pokemon certainly weren't going to go anywhere.

For now Hudson was just going to take in the beautiful scenery. Powerful waves crashed into the cliffs bellow, sending pale sea foam up into the air. The wind rustled through the leaves of the trees that made up the other side of the walking path. The sun was shining, the air was warm, and all was well. Maybe a curious Pokemon would even pop up here, Hudson certainly wasn't opposed to battling or catching it depending on what its temperament was.

Solomon http://i.imgur.com/WNpEgf9.png, Hudson's Chinchou, walked along side him, enjoying his time outside of his pokeball. The air was moist and smelled of salt, providing Solomon enough water droplets from the air that he needed to stay energized and happy. The small angler Pokemon looked up at the blue skies and basked in the white sunshine, and he decided that it was quite the pretty day. Ophelia was going to be very jealous when they found out he got to have some fun outside and she didn't. Yes, Ophelia was a fish and couldn't exactly go for a walk on dry land, but Solomon knew that she would get a little envious anyways. That fish was a very jealous creature. His thoughts shifted he heard the sound of wind rustling through the trees, and he skipped ahead of Hudson in glee. No, it was never this warm or this pretty down in Potpourri Harbor where he was born. Solomon knew there was so much more of the world to see, and he was excited to travel through it with Hudson.

In fact, there was so much to see here! Who knew what Pokemon hid just out of sight in the bushes or up ahead in the large fields. Would they want to be friends, or come to pick a fight or steal some food? Solomon didn't really care regardless, new pals were always great and he definitely wouldn't mind getting to go into battle either. He supposed it was up for fate to decide what would happen next.

What a day! What a day! Wingull chirped and whistled, in very high spirits today. The sun was shining brightly and the breeze was just perfect for smooth flying. What more could a Wingull ask for? He flapped his wings and gained a little more altitude before coasting on the wind again. Down below, humans and other trainer pokémon hustled about, and Wingull watched closely from above. Occasionally, someone would litter or drop some food that he could easily swoop down and nibble on. He hated picking at old or spoiled food from the trash cans. Eating fresh was much preferred.

Oh! There's something! he thought, instantly tilting his wings to turn sharply to his left. It was only a few moments before his little talons hit the pavement. Mmm, remnants of some sort of potato with cheese. He quickly dove his beak into the cheese, not caring one bit about what was happening around him. He was hungry, and who knew when he'd have another chance at a meal. Unaware of what was headed his way, he gobbled down some of the potato and tilted his head back, letting the mush slide down the back of his throat. Before he knew it, a human and his pokémon were approaching quickly, and if he didn't hop out of the way soon, he might get stepped on.

{ No, not at all! It's a great start :D }

Truth be told, Hudson was too busy admiring the sight of the powerful waves crashing up against the cliffs to notice the Wingull land on the walking path. It was Solomon who saw the seagull pokemon up ahead on the trail. He wondered if he should point it out to his trainer, or if he should just investigate on his own. This particular chinchou was a bit of a prankster, and he knew that Hudson wouldn't want him to mess with the Wingull. Maybe it would be best if he left Hudson in the dark for now.

Chinchou quickly trotted up ahead, careful to make sure the unsuspecting Wingull didn't notice him. But what joke should he inflict on the bird? Oh! There were just so many possibilities. He could give the dual water-flying time a little zap of electricity, or perhaps throw a pebble at the back of its head before diving into the bushes. Solomon pondered his options for a moment before coming up with a new idea. Dropping low to the ground, he fired off a gentle squirt of water from his mouth, aiming at the half eaten potato. The blast connected with the food and sent it sliding further down the walkway, away from the Wingull. Solomon could barely control his laughter, the Wingull had been looking up when he committed this action. How would it react to its afternoon snack suddenly going missing?

This potato... goodness gracious it was good! It was the perfect consistency, not too mushy but not chunky either. It had just the right amount of seasoning, not too peppery or salty. He closed his eyes, relishing in the taste, and- huh?? The large bite he had taken was suddenly gone. His eyes widened and he looked around. Where the-? he wondered, his eyes darting back and forth, from the ground to the sky and the left to the right. And then he heard it. Laughter.

The second his eyes landed on the nearby laughing pokémon his blood began to boil. Was this stranger laughing at him? Did he see where the food went? Just then, a small drip of water ran down the side of his beak, and he put two and two together. This pokémon that had so rudely interrupted his meal must have had something to do with this. Why else would it be laughing? Wingull glared at him and turned to face him. Excuse me! Food is hard enough to come by here, could you please try not to ruin it? he said sternly, chirping angrily and puffing the feathers on his chest out to help make him look bigger.

He shot a look at the trainer. Was he not paying attention? What a responsible trainer he must be, the Wingull thought to himself. Not wanting anything to do with this pair of troublemakers, he proceeded to turn his back to them and lean down for another bite. Luckily for him there was still some mashed potato left. Hopefully the two strangers would leave him be to finish his meal in peace. And if not, well... he'd have something else to say about that as well. He dove his beak into the potato, and again lifted his beak to the sky to swallow another bite.

The sight of the puffed up, angry Wingull did nothing to stop Solomon's laughter. If anything it just made him cackle even louder. He fell backwards onto his butt, laughing so boisterously tears began to well in his eyes. The bird was sooooo mad! When it returned to whatever was left of its meal, Solomon couldn't help but shoot a blast of water at him again. Luckily for the Wingull, however, he was a laughing so hard that only a handful little drops of water came out, falling uselessly about halfway towards the snack.

Hudson was snapped back into reality by the sound of Solomon's laughter. He was well aware of how mischievous the chinchou could be, so he quickly walked up the trail to catch up. Whatever Solomon was up to, Hudson figured it couldn't be good. Once he saw Solomon rolling on the ground in laughter, and the infuriated Wingull trying to eat some soaking wet potato, he put two and two together and realized that the poor Wingull must've been the latest recipient of Solomon's tricks.

Once Solomon saw the stern glare from his trainer, he quickly stopped laughing and got up. He smiled at his trainer innocently as if to say, 'I didn't do it'. And no, Hudson wasn't buying it. He quickly recalled Solomon into his pokeball and rolled his eyes. He should've known better than to have let the chinchou out of his sight. Solomon was always finding a way to get himself in trouble. Hudson looked over at the Wingull and felt a twinge of guilt. If he had been paying more attention the poor bird wouldn't have missed out on his meal.

Reaching into his bag, Hudson retrieved a pouch of berries and picked out a random assortment of them to give as a peace offering to the Wingull.

"I'm really sorry about that," he said with a smile, approaching the Wingull slowly and carefully. "I should really keep a closer eye on him."

"Here," he continued sheepishly, holding the berries in the palm of his hand and extending his arm towards the Wingull. "I know they're probably not as good as whatever you were eating before, but I guess it's better than nothing."

The stranger pokémon laughed even harder at him as he turned his back. As badly as he wanted to spit an attack back at him, Wingull chose to ignore it and continue eating. The potato didn't taste nearly as good anymore, being slightly watered down now. Regardless, he nibbled at it because he was still hungry and wasn't sure when he'd have another chance at a meal like this. There was some commotion behind him, and the laughing stopped. To his relief, the pokémon's trainer seemed to be displeased and recalled him.

What happened next surprised him, though. The trainer approached him and offered an apology. Wingull turned to face the human as he approached, curious as to why he'd even bother with some wild bird anyway. He spoke in a gentle, soft tone that made Wingull's anger fade away. Watching him very closely, the human pulled out some berries and offered them to him. Wingull stood still at first, but the sweet scent that suddenly filled his little nostrils made them hard to resist. After a moment of hesitation, he approached the trainer and his out-stretched hand.

A few hops was all it took to reach him. Once there, he cautiously leaned forward and examined the berries. There were a few different colors, and the bright ones in particular caught his eye. After another quick glance up at the human to be sure this was okay, he reached down with his beak and gobbled up an orange berry. A sweet, but somewhat tangy taste filled his mouth as he lifted his head, letting it slide down his throat. It was quite good, so he scoped out any other orange berries he could see and ate them as well. Giving the trainer a look and a soft coo, he continued to munch. These are delicious, thank you! he said, which he knew to the human would only sound like soft cooing.

The wild Wingull is pleased.

{ Thanks for waiting!! }

A wave of relief hit Hudson as the small Wingull hoped forward and delicately began picking berries from his hand and eating them. He was glad the Pokemon wouldn't go hungry because of his distracted nature. He was still learning every day as a trainer, and this was just another lesson. Don't let Solomon, or any of your Pokemon, out of sight for long. They're bound to get into some sort of trouble.

As the Wingull eate the berries from the palm of his hand, Hudson started to feel the pack on his back start to gently vibrate. In a moment, Solomon was back out of his pokeball and out on the dirt road in a flash of red. The little shit had broken out of his pokeball.

"Hey!" He shouted sternly. "Get back inside your ball Solomon."

"Chi chi chi!" Solomon chortled, running forward and snatching a cluster of berries before running off a few few away. "Did you really think you could keep me in there?!"

With another laugh, Solomon stuffed the fin-full of berries into his mouth and started chowing down. They were delicious. So juicy and sweet! Why would Hudson want to keep him away from these treats?! For the moment, he had forgotten the Wingull's presence. But it certainly wouldn't be long before he would decide to enact another prank on the bird pokemon.

As for Hudson, he was busy rummaging in his bag to find Solomon's pokeball. His cheeks were slightly pink, needless to say he was embarrassed that he couldn't control his mischievous pokemon. Solomon was a loyal companion and had a mostly good sense of humor, but sometimes the chinchou took things a little too far. Hudson was going to have to figure out how to keep him in check if he ever wanted to be taken more seriously as a trainer. He was sure the Wingull thought he was nothing but a fool.

A low rumble and then a bright flash of light interrupted his meal. The light came from the human's bag, and in an instant the stranger's pokémon reappeared. The round, blue and yellow water pokémon shouted at his trainer about returning him to his pokéball. The Wingull glared at the pokémon, fluffing up his feathers and shaking it off. He chose to ignore him, because often times a toddler throws a fit knowing he'll get the attention he wants. Perhaps if the Wingull ignored him, rather than feeding his crave for attention, he'd stop acting up.

Wingull looked up at the trainer, but as if the pokémon knew he was being ignored, he jumped between them. In an instant, the little brat scooped up the remaining berries from the trainer's hand and leaped out of the way before anyone could respond. It turned to face them and laughed before shoving the berries into its mouth. Ugh! Those were meant for him! This jerk had already ruined the dinner he was eating and now this? Wingull's blood began to boil once more and he could no longer ignore the trainer's pokémon.

Those were meant for me, little brat! Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. You've ruined both meals of mine, now back off! he cawed angrily. He flapped his wings a few times, hopping a few steps towards the pokémon. Narrowing his eyes and taking aim, Wingull built up some water of his own and shot it forward. Aiming directly for his face, Wingull hoped his target would get a mouthful of water in the same way he had. Sure, it wasn't the most mature response, but Wingull had had enough.

Wingull is not pleased.
Wingull used Water Pulse!

{ No problem! }

Solomon just could not stop laughing. Even as the chinchou stuffed his face with the berries, he continued to cackle at his trainer and the Wingull. Bits of berry skin and juice came out of his mouth as he chewed and guffawed at the same time. He struggled to even swallow the food as air came bursting out of his lungs. With his mouth wide open in laughter, the water pulse went right through the center of his mouth and hit the back of his throat. He fell back, gagging and attempting to spit the liquid out.

He rolled over and spat the mixture of berry mush and water out onto the walking path. Solomon looked over to his trainer for help, only to see that now Hudson was laughing the one laughing. Hudson couldn't help it, the sight of Solomon getting his just deserts was too funny not to laugh at. The way the water pulse went straight into his mouth mid-laugh was the funniest thing Hudson had seen in a long time.

"Alright! You got me!" Solomon conceded as he turned to the Wingull. "Truce?"

As an olive branch, Solomon picked up one of the orange berries that fell on the ground and offered it to the Wingull.

"Sorry I messed with you... I only wanted to have a little fun!" Solomon said sheepishly, hoping the Wingull would except his apology and peace offering.
